About Calcnio

Free, honest financial calculators and a blog that shows the math, so you can make borrowing and saving decisions with confidence.

Who we are

Calcnio is built and run by Muaaz Shaheen, a software developer based in Pakistan. The site started from a simple frustration: most online calculators give you a single number with no explanation, are slow and cluttered, or ask for your email before showing a result. We wanted tools that are fast, private and transparent about how every figure is worked out.

What we do

  • Calculators for loans, car loans, credit cards, debt payoff, mortgages, affordability, refinancing, renting vs buying, savings goals, compound interest and inflation — all free, with instant results.
  • Blog posts that explain financial ideas in plain English, using worked examples with real numbers rather than vague advice.
  • A background remover that runs entirely in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.

How our calculators are built and checked

Every calculator uses standard, published formulas. Before a tool goes live, we check its output against independent calculations, and each calculator page includes a worked example so you can verify the result yourself. Calculations run in your browser and answer instantly.

Editorial standards

  • Accuracy first. Figures in our blog posts are calculated, not estimated, and the assumptions behind them are stated.
  • Plain language. We explain jargon the first time we use it.
  • No product pushing. We don’t recommend specific lenders, banks or investments.
  • Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us and we will review and fix it promptly, noting significant changes on the page.

Our content is educational and is not personal financial advice. For decisions about your own situation, speak to a qualified professional. See our disclaimer.

How the site is funded

Calcnio is supported by advertising and by optional memberships, which let members save calculations and browse without ads. Advertisers have no influence over our calculators or blog posts, and an ad appearing on a page is not an endorsement. You can read more about ads and cookies in our privacy policy.
