Organize PDF

Drag the pages of one or more PDFs into order, turn or delete pages, add blank ones, and save a new PDF without uploading anything.

How to organize a PDF

  1. Add your PDF. Drop it on the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or press Select PDF files. Add more than one PDF if you want to mix their pages. Every page appears as a small picture.
  2. Change the order. Drag a page to its new place. On a phone or tablet, press and hold a page for a moment, then drag it. The arrows under each page move it one step at a time.
  3. Turn or delete pages. Each page has its own turn button and delete button. Left and Right above the pages turn every page at once.
  4. Add blank pages if you need them. Type the page number the blank page should follow, then press Insert blank page. Type 0 to put it at the very start.
  5. Press Save PDF and download the new file.

Mix pages from several PDFs

When you add more than one PDF, all their pages go into one grid, and the page numbers are colored by file so you can tell them apart. Move pages between the files as you like: put the cover letter first, slip page 2 of a contract after it, and finish with a signed page from a scan. You get one PDF, in exactly the order you see on screen.

If you only want to join whole files end to end, Merge PDF is quicker.

Blank pages

A blank page takes the size and direction of the page before it, so a blank page after a landscape page is landscape too. Blank pages help with double-sided printing, where you want a new section to start on the front of a sheet, and they give you space for handwritten notes.

Each blank page also shows up in the file list above the grid as "Blank page 1", "Blank page 2" and so on. Press its × to take it out again, or use the delete button on the page itself.

Undo and start again

Reset brings back every deleted page, removes all turns, and puts the pages back in their first order. Blank pages you added stay, at the end. Nothing you do here changes your original files, so you can always start fresh with Remove all.

What stays the same

Pages are copied as they are, not printed again or turned into pictures. Text stays sharp and selectable, images keep their quality, and every page keeps its size. Bookmarks and fillable form fields are not carried into the new file.

All of this happens in your browser. Your PDFs are not uploaded to us or anyone else, which matters for contracts, bank statements and medical papers, and it means there is no upload wait. Each file can be up to 200 MB.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes. To undo one move, drag the page back or use its arrows. To undo everything, press Reset, which restores the original pages and order.

Does organizing a PDF lower its quality?

No. The pages are copied, not recreated, so they look exactly as they did. You can still search and copy the text.

Can I organize a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Press and hold a page, then drag it, or use the arrows under each page. It works in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

Why won't my PDF open here?

It may be damaged, or protected with a password or editing restrictions. Open it in a PDF reader, save a copy without the protection, and add that copy.
